DAYS 1–3: ARRIVE BEIJING (L,D)
Arrive in Beijing and transfer to your hotel. To begin this China tour you walk through the incredible expanse of Tiananmen Square before continuing on foot to the splendid Forbidden City. Enjoy a traditional tea ceremony before heading into one of Beijing’s few remaining hutongs (backstreets) for lunch in a local home and a rickshaw ride. See the city’s famous Drum Tower, travel to the Great Wall at Mutianyu, and enjoy free time to explore the Wangfujing Night Markets.

DAYS 4–5: SIGHTSEEING IN BEIJING THEN ON TO XIAN (B)

Visit the Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace on your Beijing tour before taking an afternoon flight to Xian. View the Terracotta Warriors, wander through the fascinating Muslim Quarter and visit the Wild Goose Pagoda. You also indulge in a sumptuous dumpling banquet.

DAYS 6-10: SHANGHAI & ZHUJIAJIAO (B)

Shanghai & Zhujiajiao Shanghai’s Old Quarter is where you will find the Asia of yesteryear. Fly to Shanghai, admire the Art Deco streetscapes of the Bund, visit the Shanghai Museum, the lively Chinese Quarter and Yu Garden. Discover the famed Shanghai acrobats and learn about the art of Feng Shui before visiting the ancient water town of Zhujiajiao. Your Shanghai tour ends with an airport transfer on day 10.
