Suggested Itinerary:

DAY 1: ARRIVE IN AUCKLAND

On arrival at Auckland Airport you will be transferred to your hotel on this New Zealand family holiday. Optional tour: take the helm and sail the harbour on an America’s Cup training yacht.

DAY 2: AUCKLAND - ROTORUA

Your rental car will be delivered to your hotel for this New Zealand holiday. Free time in Auckland before driving to Rotorua. The surrounding lakes provide some of the world’s best trout fishing and Maori culture is one of its great attractions.

DY 3: ROTORUA (B, D)

At leisure in Rotorua on this New Zealand drive holiday. Family activities include the Polynesian Family Thermal Pools, the Skyline Gondola and luge track, the Agrodome Show, a visit to Rainbow Springs and the Kiwi Encounter or the Zorb! This evening experience the culture of the Maori people including fierce hakas, dances and games. You will then taste an authentic ”HANGI” and afterwards return to your hotel

DAY 4: ROTORUA / CHRISTCHURCH (B)

Return your rental car to the airport and fly to Christchurch. Collect another car and continue the New Zealand holiday. Admission to the International Antarctic Centre is included today.

DAY 5: CHRISTCHURCH-/ LAKE TEKAPO
Travel south to Lake Tekapo on your drive New Zealand program. Finely ground rock in this glacial highland lake melted waters gives it a unique turquoise colour. This evening, join a special tour to the top of Mount John for a highlight on this New Zealand holiday. Mount John is a scientific observatory where astronomers are conducting exciting research.

DAY 6: TEKAPO - MOUNT COOK - WANAKA

Continue your drive New Zealand itinerary to Lake Pukaki and on to Mt Cook village. Enjoy a Glacier Explorers boat trip and experience the Tasman Glacier. You will be met in Mount Cook Village by your guide and transported up the Tasman Valley where you will enjoy a half hour walk to the terminal lake of the Tasman Glacier. Afterwards continue to Wanaka on the next stop of your New Zealand holiday.

DAY 7: WANAKA -QUEENSTOWN

This morning is free in Wanaka. Admission to Puzzling World is included. From Wanaka, drive into Queenstown.

DAY 8: QUEENSTOWN

A ride on the famous Shotover Jet has been included. It’s a thrilling ride as through the narrow canyons at breath taking speeds. Then board the steamship TSS Earnslaw and cruise across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak Station. Enjoy your BBQ lunch which is cooked outside the homestead. Following lunch, enjoy a farm tour, view a wool spinning demonstration or wander through the lakeside gardens before returning to Queenstown.

DAY 9: QUEENSTOWN

Today is at leisure in Queenstown. Historic Arrowtown is only 20 minutes away and has many original buildings from the gold rush days.

DAY 10: DEPART QUEENSTOWN

Return your car at the conclusion of your drive New Zealand holiday at Queenstown Airport.
