After some free time in Falmouth, a ferry ride from the mainland takes you to the island of Martha’s Vineyard. Take a ferry to Hyannis and travel to the quaint seaside village of Chatham for the next two nights. Weather permitting, take a guided whale-watching cruise to see them roll, flip their tails, and blow through their blowholes – a true highlight of your New England travel. Have dinner back in Chatham this evening.

Built by Cornelius Vanderbilt, it’s now a National Historic Landmark. With so many boats off the shores this cruise is a highlight of the New England travel days in Newport. The tour ends at Boston’s Logan International Airport at 12:30 PM, or the Hilton Boston Back Bay at 1:30 PM, traffic permitting. Airport transfers are included; allow two hours for flight check-in.
