Rocky Mountaineer Gold Leaf Getaway - Rail journey in Canada

This Canada tour is ideal for those who have less than a week to discover Vancouver and the Rockies and do not wish to drive. As a Gold Leaf passenger aboard the Rocky Mountaineer train, you will experience a rail journey in comfortable luxury and a spectacular view from the Gold Leaf dome with its reclining dome level seats.

Suggested Itinerary:

DAY 1: Arrival in Vancouver
To begin this Canada tour, a private sedan transfer takes you from the Vancouver International Airport to a downtown hotel (including gratuities).

Overnight at the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver in a Deluxe Four Seasons Executive Suite.

Tonight, enjoy a walk along the waterfront or stroll along Robson Street.

DAY 2: Vancouver to Kamloops (B,L,D)

Early this morning, your private sedan will transfer you to the Pacific Central Rail Station for your departure aboard the Rocky Mountaineer train. This train travels only during daylight hours so that you have maximum time to enjoy the scenery.

The first portion of this 2-day trip will take you from Vancouver to Kamloops, in the Thompson Okanagan. Herds of beef cattle, tended by cowboys on horseback, graze on the expansive rangeland.

You will be eating your breakfast and lunch in the Gold Leaf dining car where tables of four are dressed in white linen with gleaming tableware and fresh flower bouquets.

Upon arriving in Kamloops, the ranching capital of British Columbia, you will be transferred by coach to your hotel, where you will stay overnight.

DAY 3: Kamloops to Banff (B,L)

You depart Kamloops for your second day aboard the Rocky Mountaineer train. After departing Kamloops, the train passes the Shuswap Lakes area, Revelstoke and then continues on to Rogers Pass and Glacier National Park. Your Rocky Mountaineer train journey ends this evening in the resort town of Banff, located in the heart of Banff National Park.

Upon arrival, you will be met by your mini-van driver and transferred to your hotel.

Tonight, you will stay at the legendary Rimrock Resort Hotel, a mere 10-minute drive from the centre of Banff, with breathtaking views of rugged, snow-capped peaks and lush, tree-filled alpine valleys. Your Premier room will have a view of either the Bow Valley or the Spray Valley.

DAY 4: Depart Banff to Calgary or Vancouver (B)

Your driver will be awaiting you outside of your hotel to take you on a scenic private (1.5 to 2-hour) transfer from Banff to the Calgary International Airport to conclude this Canada tour.
