Three hours west of Melbourne and overlooking Wartook Valley is a sumptuous retreat on the border of the Grampians National Park. The lodge and four villas enjoy an uninterrupted view to a mountain. The buildings are of stone, tile and wood and are designed to harmonise with the lines of the surrounding “bush”. Eastern grey kangaroos relax on the lawn at dawn and dusk and the hosts are keen to preserve the property as a true retreat from crowded cities, to provide some stylish accommodation and allow guests to explore one of Victoria’s most attractive and quiet environments.
