Beer Tasting Tour of England
Immerse yourself in this unusual 9 day private tour. You will taste different varieties of English beer in a variety of pleasant English towns.
Sample Itinerary:
Day 1: London – Chipping Campden. (D)
Upon arrival at London airport, guests are met by an English Beer “expert” and a private coach, to head northwest to the famous Cotswold village of Chipping Campden, where five nights have been included atThe Noel Arms, a charming inn superbly located in the village centre. Time to relax and try a Hook Norton before a welcome dinner.
Days 2 - 5: Local touring/ Golf/ Local Tastings (B)
Each morning guests are taken on short local sightseeing trips or (for those who wish) to play golf at top local golf courses (green fees will be included). On three afternoons guests will be taken to small, private breweries. We have selected the following as classic examples of what local people with knowledge and love of beer can create:
- Mad God’s Brewery in Iron Cross, near Evesham. Founded by Andy Miller, who will welcome guests, take them on a private tour, and then introduce each guest to 6 oz glasses of each of his beers. We'll also include a traditional pub lunch prior to the tasting, or guests will never walk away!
- The Brandy Cask in Pershore. Another private tour followed by a tasting of the 3 ales this brewery produces; Brandy Snap, Whistling Joe and John Baker. And a light lunch prior to the tasting.
- Cannon Royal Brewery in Uphampton. A private tour followed by tasting of the 3 beers brewed here; Fruiterers Mild, Arrow Head and Buck Shot. And a typical pub lunch will again be included prior to tasting.
On the fourth afternoon we'll take guests on a country pub tour, highlighting 2 or 3 classic old world pubs and including two drinks. This evening we'll enjoy a Pub Supper hosted by the G.M. of The Noel Arms.
Day 6: London (B)
After 5 days "out in the wilds", it's time to head into London. Our HQ is The Rembrandt, a first class hotel located in Knightsbridge, where three nights are included. Time for an optional lunch before those who wish will head off on a panoramic city sightseeing, highlighting all of London's most famous sights. Guests are on their own this evening. Our escort can suggest a few city pubs that very few tourists ever visit. Or they can walk to "The Grapes", a famous old pub located close to the hotel.
Days 7 - 8: London (B)
Two full days to enjoy London. On one day we'll include a visit to Fuller's Brewery in Chiswick, where a tour and tasting will be included, as well as a lunch at "The Dove" one of the smallest and oldest pubs in London. On the final evening we'll include a classic city pub tour with visits to "The White Horse" at Parson's Green, "The Old Cheshire Cheese" in Fleet Street, and "The George" in Southwark. A dinner will be included, along with a drink at each.
