DAY 1: Moroccan Food Tour Begins
Prepare yourself for one of the most fascinating, colourful and culture-rich countries on the planet, not to mention some of the world’s best food! You will be picked up from Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport and driven to a beautiful 5-star hotel conveniently located in the centre of Casablanca.
If your flight arrives before dinner, you’ll have the chance to taste delicious Moroccan cuisine at one of Casablanca’s most popular restaurants.

DAY 2: Hassan II Mosque & Drive to Essaouira
After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll set off to visit the iconic majestic Hassan II Mosque, the third-largest religious monument in the world, and the only mosque in Morocco that non-Muslims are permitted to enter. Following the mosque tour, you will head out on a scenic five-six hour drive through the countryside to Essaouira. Enjoy lunch along the way, you will arrive in Essaouira in the early evening where you will stay at an exquisite ocean-view riad.

DAY 3: City Tour & Moroccan Cooking Class
Today you’ll explore Essaouira’s impressive medina, you’ll love the relaxed and artistic vibe of this charming city. Next, you’ll enjoy a spectacular seaside lunch, where freshly caught fish is grilled to perfection before your eyes. Top it off with a famous Moroccan mint tea and French pastries. Start your first cooking class in the late afternoon, where you’ll prepare a fresh Moroccan chopped salad and fish tajine. After a busy day of exploring and cooking, you’ll then get the chance to enjoy the scrumptious meal you just created!

DAY 4: Drive to the High Atlas Mountains
Enjoy the morning at your leisure, whether you spend it browsing artisan workshops and local art galleries, a camel ride on the beach or strolling through Essaouira’s serene squares. After lunch, you will make your way to the Berber village of Anrar, found in the High Atlas Mountains. Visit the argon oil cooperative along the way where you will learn new insights. The charming and incredibly hospitable riad Kasbah Omar will be your home for the next three days.

DAY 5: Explore the Souk & Moroccan Cooking Class
After a delicious Berber breakfast, you will head to the souk Lathnine, where Berber Villages come to trade. Walk along the Ourika River through the olive and fruit groves with a donkey on a 45-60 minute trail. Stop at the local school to pass out school supplies to children before continuing on to the souk, where you’ll select organic vegetables, meat and chicken-everything needed for the cooking classes. Make your way back to the kasbah with the groceries loaded onto your donkey, just in time for a delicious Berber barbeque lunch. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure, before your next cooking class where you will cook and eat Berber salads and pastille. Learn the flavours of a Moroccan delicacy that combines flaky pastry, savoury meat and sweet spices.

DAY 6: Waterfall Hike & Moroccan Cooking Class
Start the morning with a cooking class on Berber crepes. After your delicious breakfast, you’ll see Berber village life amidst the stunning backdrop of the High Atlas Mountains. Walk through the village of Anrar, stopping for tea with a local Berber family. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure, whether it be a 3-hour hike to the waterfall or visit one of the many lounge-cafes built into the mountainside. Return to Kasbah in the late afternoon for your cooking class on Moroccan soup and traditional couscous.

DAY 7: Drive to Marrakech
Today you take a short trip to the exotic and mystical Marrakech, an enchanting palm oasis. Start with a visit to the Bahia Palace with its expansive harem quarters, followed by the ancient royal Saadian Tombs. Then explore the vibrant and historic Jewish mellah (quarter) and the majestic Koutoubia Mosque before entering the 11th-century walled medina. Explore the medina, where you will visit the Ben Youssef Madrasa, a historic Koran school. Walk through the serpentine labyrinth of the ancient souk, where you’ll see Moroccan craftsmanship at its finest. In the late afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to shop at local artisan co-ops and learn about traditional Moroccan crafts. For those not interested in shopping, you may choose to explore Djemaa el-Fna square on your own, perhaps enjoy a cup of tea at a rooftop cafe, or relax by the pool at the riad.
In the evening, thrill in the magic that emerges from the heart of the famed square, Djemaa el-Fna. Mystical snake charmers, hustlers and mischievous monkeys are part of the nightly drama that unfolds, as Berber acrobats, fortune tellers and musicians.
Accommodation tonight is at the charming riad inside the Marrakech medina.

DAY 8: Marrakech & Moroccan Cooking Class
Today you’ll take a tour around the ancient city wall and palm grove, including a visit to the Yves St, Laurent gardens. Followed by a visit to a spice shop for some information on the various spices that you have been using and may want to take home. After lunch, head out and explore the imperial city of Marrakech at your leisure. In the late afternoon, you will have your final cooking class and farewell dinner, where you enjoy your own delicious Moroccan creations of beef with prunes and almonds and lemon chicken.

DAY 9: Morocco Food Tour Ends
The Moroccan food tour ends today as you're transferred to the airport for your return home. Depending on your flight plans, we will either drop you off at the Marrakech airport or arrange for a private car transfer to Casablanca’s airport
